Bison Track Competes in Day One of ECAC Outdoor Championships

May 18 – WESTFIELD, Mass. – Led by a school-record setting performance from the men’s 4x400-meter relay team, the Bethany College track & field teams competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships on Wednesday afternoon.

The 4x400 relay team of Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville), Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local), Khallid Young and Austin Davis finished in seventh place at the championships. The team’s time of 3:18.38 shattered the previous mark of 3:19.11 which the quartet originally set at Westminster on April 16.

Butler was the lone athlete to compete individually in day one, as he posted a time of 11.31 in the 100-meter dash.

The Bison will continue action at the ECAC Championships, hosted by Westfield State University, on Thursday afternoon.
