Dec. 4 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College men’s and women’s track & field teams were both selected to finish fourth in the inaugural 2014-15 PAC Men’s & Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
On the men’s side, Westminster took top honors, collecting four first-place votes and 75 points. Also collecting four first-place votes was Grove City, who finished second with 69 points. Waynesburg rounded out the top three, totaling 60 points and one first-place vote.
The Bison, who finished second last season in the Indoor PAC Championships, gathered 57 points for fourth place. Following Bethany was Saint Vincent (35), Thiel (32), Thomas More (31), Geneva (30) and Washington & Jefferson (16).
Also coming in first on the women’s side was Westminster, who tallied 75 points and four first-place votes. Grove City was second with 74 points and three first-place votes, while Waynesburg came in third with 65 points and two first-place votes.
Bethany checked in at fourth, finishing with 46 points. Following the Bison, were Washington & Jefferson (36), Geneva (33), Thomas More (31), Thiel (25) and Saint Vincent (20) to round out the poll.
The men’s and women’s squad will open up their indoor portion of the schedule on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Youngstown State University Icebreaker Meet. Action begins at 3:00 p.m.
