Bison Women’s Indoor Track & Field Finishes Sixth at PAC Championships

Feb. 25 – YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bethany College women’s indoor track & field team competed at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Youngstown State on Thursday evening. The Bison placed sixth as they totaled 52 points in the meet.

Maria Jackson-McBride (Spotsylvania, Va./West Potomac) had a strong showing as she raced to a second-place finish in the 400-meter run with a time of 59.74. The senior then earned third in the 200-meter dash (26.59).

Ashley Borsch (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) tied her school record in the 60-meter hurdles as she placed fourth with a final time of 9.74. Borsch also earned seventh in the 200-meter dash (27.43).

Heather Grinkley (Woodbridge, Pa./C.D. Hylton) and Kiera Goolsby (Washington, Pa./Washington) performed well in the 60-meter dash as they finished third (8.14) and fifth (8.27) in the finals, respectively.

Kelsea Martz (Hedgesville, W. Va./Hedgesville) earned points for the Bison as she finished seventh in the 5000 meter (20.34.56).

The relay team of Borsch, Biz Timas (Middlefield, Ohio/Cardinal), Bri Steich (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown), and Jackson-McBride finished the day with a fourth-place finish in the 4X400 relay (4:20.41). 

Westminster College took home first at the PAC Indoor Championships with a final score of 127.5.
