Moore and Minger Set New School Marks at Kent State Tune Up

Feb. 21 - KENT, Ohio - Bethany College indoor track and field juniors Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon) and Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) each posted new school records as they competed at the Kent State Tune Up hosted by Kent State University on Saturday.

Moore made his mark in the long jump, where he finished second in a field of 31 competitors from Divisions I, II and III, posting a distance of 23'4.50". Not only did that mark break his own school record, but it was also good for the 10th best leap in all of Division III this season. Moore also competed in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash events.

Minger performed well in both of his events on the day. Competeing against runners from all divisions, Minger notched a seventh-place mark in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.40. He also finished 15th in the 200-meter dash, breaking his own school mark by posting a time of 22.65.

Minger, Moore and the rest of the Bison will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 26, when they travel to Youngstown, Ohio to compete at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
