May 19 – WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Bison track and field teams saw three different athletes compete in a pair of events on the second day of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships on Thursday afternoon.
Both senior Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) and Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville), as well as senior Maria Jackson-McBride (Spotsylvania, Va./West Potomac), competed in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter run.
In the 200-meter dash, Butler tallied the top finish out of the three athletes, as the junior posted a time of 22.17 for an 11th-place finish. Minger earned a 17th-place mark in the race with a 22.46, while Jackson-McBride tallied an 18th-place finish on the women’s side with a time of 26.11.
In the 400-meter run, Minger was the top finisher, earning a 13th-place mark with a time of 49.29. Butler tallied a 27th-place finish (50.30) while Jackson-McBride came in 24th in the women’s race, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:00.69.
