Hummel Field House is home to the Bethany basketball programs, as well as the Bison volleyball team. This arena has hosted the PAC Tournament championship victories for the Bethany men in five of the last eight years, as well as the Bison women's NCAA Tournament first round games in 2002 and 2004. The Field House saw extensive renovations prior to the 2002 school year, as a new floor and bleachers were installed. The bleachers, which can seat up to 800, combined with a balcony area that gives standing room for up to couple hundred more, can mean an advantageous home court atmosphere for the Bison.
The Field House is connected to the Thomas Phillips Johnson Health & Recreation Center, which was built in 1994. Sandwen Arena inside the Center is a multi-purpose facility, which has an indoor track around three courts that can be used for basketball, tennis or volleyball. The Arena is also utilized as a practice venue for all outdoor sports during inclement weather.
The Johnson Recreation Center Weight Room houses multiple free weight stations as well as universal machines and cardio equipment, which can be used for training or rehabilitation. Several sports as well as the public benefit from the convenient weight room next to the indoor gym.
