Oct. 4 - BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College volleyball team had a two-game winning streak stopped Saturday with 3-0 losses to visiting Waynesburg (20-25, 20-25, 15-25) and Saint Vincent (12-25, 21-25, 19-25) in a PAC tri-match at Hummel Field House.

Freshman Courtney Meadows (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) highlighted the setback to Waynesburg with 12 kills and eight digs. Sophomore Emily Stewart (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) posted eight kills and seven digs, while freshman Tiffany Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) led the team with 14 digs and three aces.

Freshman setter Megan Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) totaled 23 assists against the Yellow Jackets.

Meadows and Megan Hoffman again paced the efforts in the Bison’s second match of the day against Saint Vincent. Hoffman passed out 25 assists, with 13 of those going to Meadows. Tiffany Hoffman notched double figures in digs with 10 to lead the defensive efforts.

Bethany (4-14, 1-4) returns to the court on Wednesday when they host Westminster in a conference match at 7 p.m. The defending PAC champion Titans swept the Bison 3-0 in their first meeting Sept. 20.
