Sept. 14 - GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Bethany College volleyball continued its impressive start to the season with a 3-1 victory (22-25, 25-9, 25-11, 25-18) at Grove City Wednesday night, as the Bison improved to 11-0 overall and 2-0 in the PAC.

Senior Carrie Talkington (Moundsville, W.Va./John Marshall) posted a big night at the net with 13 kills and eight blocks, including four solos. Junior Taylor Cassidy (Barboursville, W.Va./Cabell Midland) hammered a dozen kills and freshman Lynsie Mandt (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) pounded 10 kills and a pair of aces.

The trigger on the attack was junior Jessica Zavatchen (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) with 39 assists and senior Tiffany Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) brought up 28 digs in the back row.

Next up for Bethany is a big home tri-match Saturday against a pair of teams who finished ahead of the Bison in the PAC last year. At 11 a.m., BC will take on Thiel and then at 3 p.m., Bethany will play Saint Vincent.
