Oct. 25 - WAYNESBURG, Pa. – Despite three players finishing with double digit kills, the Bethany volleyball team was defeated 3-1 (18-25, 26-28, 25-23, 23-25) in a tightly-contested PAC match at Waynesburg Saturday morning.

Freshman Megan Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) tied her career-high with 45 assists in the match, equaling the same number she gave out in a five-set loss at Marietta Sept. 16. She had three strong hitters to set up Saturday, as freshman Courtney Meadows (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) pounded down 17 kills and senior Sumer Scott (Triadelphia, W.Va./Wheeling Park) and freshman Alyssa Schrecengost (Wexford, Pa./Vincentian) each posted 10 kills.

For Meadows, it was her 14th match this season with 10+ kills, while Schrecengost recorded her ninth with double digit kills. Scott tied her season-high, which previously came in an Oct. 11 contest at Washington & Jefferson.

Freshman Tiffany Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) led the defense by bringing up 23 digs.

The Bison will close out the regular season this week with a road match at Grove City Tuesday and a home tilt with W&J Thursday at 7 p.m.
