PAC tabs McKenzie Player of the Week second-straight time

Oct. 31 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – Bethany College senior outside hitter Dakota McKenzie (Hopewell, Ohio/West Muskingum) was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week for the second-straight week announced the league office Monday evening.

McKenzie helped the Bison close out the season with three wins and clinch the No. 1 seed and hosting rights in the upcoming PAC Tournament.

The Hopewell, Ohio native finished the week with 40 kills and had hitting percentages of .345, .500 and .323 in the team's three wins over Thiel, Grove City and Westminster.

A three-time All-PAC selection, McKenzie ranks third in the PAC and second on the team with 374 kills (3.20 per set) and now has 1,467 for her career, the second-highest total in school history. Her twin-sister and teammate Dylana McKenzie is the only individual ahead of her with 1,602 career kills.

Bethany awaits the winner of the No. 4 Washington & Jefferson/No. 5 Westminster match and will face the winner in the PAC Semifinals on Friday, November 4 at 6 p.m.
