Annual Light Up Night Celebration to Take Place at Bethany College

Bethany College will hold their Sixth Annual Light Up Night and Charity Christmas Tree Auction Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m. in Commencement Hall. The evening will begin with the official lighting of the tree, and a charity tree and wreath auction will follow.

Bethany Celebrates American Education Week

Nov. 14-18 is American Education Week, and Bethany's Education Department celebrated with a week's worth of activities. Activities for the week included writing thank you notes to professors, creating a flag, setting up a LinkedIn profile, to name a few.

Bethany SAAC Members Read to Local Primary School

In honor of American Education Week, members of Bethany's Student Athlete Advisory Committee visited Wellsburg Primary School on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Bethany's SAAC members read a variety of children stories to each grade level at the school and Boomer made a surprise visit.

 


Annual Thanksgiving Meal Held in
Ogden Dining Room

On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the annual Thanksgiving dinner was held in the Ogden Dining Room. Students, faculty and staff were served an array of Thanksgiving favorites.

Old Main Journal Switches Schedule Temporarily

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday next week, there will be no Old Main Journal on Nov. 25. The Old Main Journal will resume its regular weekly publication on Dec. 2.

Led by a double-double from junior forward Kelsea Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier), the Bison picked up a 73-55 win over Franciscan in non-conference play Wednesday night.

The Bethany College football team scored 19-unanswered points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 32-31 win over Saint Vincent Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Bison Stadium.

Bethany College senior linebacker Donavan Hayden (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Year announced the league office Tuesday afternoon.
