Alumnus, Defying the Odds, Talks of Determination with 'The Rock'

Bethany alumnus Matt Klutka '03 recently had an inspiring phone conversation with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson after Johnson heard about his story.

Klutka was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer two years ago. After no success with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other treatments, in August, he was given just a few weeks to live. However, Klutka has taken time nearly every day to life weights and run, something he believes has helped him live longer and be around for his son.

Johnson called Klutka to discuss his determination and wish him well. Johnson wrote on his Facebook page that they had an inspirational conversation, and that he was blessed to speak with Klutka. MORE.>
