Bethany College Announces New Majors for 2017-18 Academic Year

Bethany College is pleased to announce three new majors: Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity – Information Assurance and International Business. The College's faculty members approved these new majors on Thursday, Dec. 8.



Student Spotlight - Kristen Ewing

Kristen Ewing may be a local to the area, but she stresses that Bethany College feels like home.

“I chose Bethany because from the second I stepped on campus to tour, it felt like home,” said Ewing. “The campus just brings me such contentment and relief every time I arrive to campus.” Click here to read more.



Women & Leadership - Call to Alumnae

Alumnae are invited to participate in The Third Annual Ann Wilkin Trombadore Women & Leadership Weekend on March 24 and 25. At the event, alumnae will be able to interact and inspire current Bethany students.

Event activities include a Women's Leadership Recognition Dinner with Keynote Speaker Heather Sokolow, Vice President of Production Management for the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet & Science Channel; a panel discussion on teamwork and leadership, and a career fair and networking opportunities. Save the date and join us for Alumni Weekend 2017 slated for May 5-7. Classes celebrating reunions include 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972 and 1977.

Also, save the date for Homecoming 2017 slated for Sept. 29-30. Classes celebrating reunions include 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012, 2016.

Bethany Alumni Association Now Accepting Nominations for Alumni Awards 

The Bethany College Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the annual Alumni Awards. Award recipients are selected by the Alumni Council from nominations submitted by alumni and friends of Bethany. Recipients will be honored at a banquet during Alumni Weekend festivities in May.

To view the award categories and to access a nomination form, visit All nominations will be kept on the active consideration list for three years.

Men's Lacrosse Team Online Store

The Men's Lacrosse team has set up an online store for lacrosse spirit wear. Part of the proceeds go to the Men's Lacrosse Team as a fundraiser. The Bethany Women's basketball team defeated Geneva 79-55 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on Wednesday night.

Bethany senior Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) was named Track Athlete of the Week by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Monday.

Daugherty earns Team of the Week laurels

Bethany College women's basketball junior forward Kelsea Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier) was named to the Team of the Week announced the organization Tuesday morning.

Battaglia, U.S. Select defeat Team Ontario at International Bowl, 21-7

Bethany College Defensive Coordinator Joe Battaglia helped the United States Under-18 Select Team earn a 21-7 win over Team Ontario Under-18 on Tuesday at AT&T Stadium.
