Oct. 11 - CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Bethany College volleyball team dropped both ends of a PAC tri-match Saturday afternoon at Thomas More, losing 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 14-25, 16-25) to Washington & Jefferson and falling 3-0 (6-25, 13-25, 22-25) to the host school.

In the first match of the afternoon, Bison freshman Courtney Meadows (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) posted a team-high 12 kills in the loss to the Presidents. Freshman setter Megan Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) not only gave out 33 assists, but also served four aces. The BC defense was led by senior Sumer Scott (Triadelphia, W.Va./Wheeling Park) with eight blocks and freshman Tiffany Hoffman (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) with 15 digs.

Taking on Thomas More in the second contest, the Bison were swept in three. Sophomore Emily Stewart (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) delivered five kills and Megan Hoffman passed off nine assists.

Bethany (4-17, 1-7) will be on the road for two more matches this week, traveling to Geneva Tuesday night before heading to Thiel for a conference match-up Thursday evening. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
