Bethany senior Yasmeene Henderson, of Pittsburgh, stars as Grace Fryer, a watch dial painter for U.S. Radium Corp. who, along with fellow workers, sued the company and ultimately led a push for safer labor practices.

Evan Oslund ’11, adjunct professor of theatre, directs the production.

“I knew this would be a challenging piece given the size of the cast and the subject matter at hand,” Oslund said. “But the students, faculty and community members involved have very much banded together, bringing back a version of theatre that we are all more accustomed to: large-scale productions involving over 20 people and creating a family therein. I couldn’t be happier with everyone involved and the students who continuously step up to add more to their plates and who want to continue to grow the theatre program here at Bethany.”

“Radium Girls” also features students Will Sarver, of Lewisburg, W.Va.; Ethan Wilczynski, of Carmichaels, Pa.; Aidan Morgan, of West Liberty, Ky.; Civanna Tomes, of Colliers, W.Va.; Sydney Sands, of Clarksburg, W.Va.; Aubree Gray, of Moundsville, W.Va.; Sidney Felouzis, of Weirton, W.Va.; Shawn McClurg, of Wintersville, Ohio; Anastasia Rudolph, of Bethel Park, Pa.; Roman Hulver, of Oil City, Pa.; Luciano Boccalatte, of Buenos Aires; Alexis Romero, of Vero Beach, Fla.; Mecca Collins, of Wheeling, W.Va.; Olivia Zinn, of Philippi, W.Va.; Salomon Klegbe, of Cleveland, Ohio; Keone Corpuz, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and Robert Warren of Dallas.

“Radium Girls” is presented with special permission by the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Ill.
