BETHANY, W.Va. — Bethany College invites you to join us on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in Commencement Hall for a night filled with holiday magic and heartwarming generosity—and it’s all for a great cause!

The evening kicks off with a grand tree lighting ceremony, followed by live bidding on trees and wreaths, each one a unique masterpiece, lovingly crafted by our talented students, faculty, and staff.

By participating, you’re not just enjoying the festivities – you’re making a difference in the lives of children in need. All proceeds will go to Bernie’s Kids, a charity that ensures every child experiences the magic of Christmas. The charity is all in memory of Bernie Kazienko, a former Brooke County sheriff and commissioner who passed away in 2011 of cancer.

Last year, Bethany College raised over $3,000 for Bernie’s Kids, and this year, we’re aiming even higher! So, mark your calendars, spread the word, and let’s join together to light up the night, spread joy, and make this holiday season unforgettable for everyone.

For more information or if you’d like to be a part of this event by donating a tree or wreath, reach out to Vice President for Student Life Jerry Stebbins at gstebbins@bethanywv.edu.
