In light of the recent developments affecting select branches of Penn State University, we extend our deepest sympathies to the students, faculty, and staff who find themselves amidst uncertainty. To the students affected by the University’s closure of campuses in DuBois, Fayette, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre, and York, we offer a warm invitation to join our Bethany community.

As part of our commitment to easing your transition, we are offering a full year of FREE housing to incoming transfer students impacted by school or athletic program closures. Embrace the opportunity to immerse yourself in college life surrounded by a supportive community, forge new friendships, continue your athletic pursuits, and focus on your studies without the burden of accommodation expenses.

We are committed to providing expedited assistance and relief to ensure minimal disruption to your academic journey. Within 24 hours after submitting your application, we pledge to offer a comprehensive support package, which includes your financial aid evaluation, transcript review, and housing assignment.

At Bethany, our dedication to student success extends far beyond the classroom. We pledge to meet 100% of your demonstrated need with a guaranteed $25,000 in gift aid to students who have not received an estimated financial aid package from the College. As well as covering a substantial 67 percent of tuition, fees, and books, this is money that you don’t have to pay back from Bethany, federal, and state funds. Merit and co-curricular scholarships are also available to further support your educational journey. Additionally, credits earned at Penn State University with a grade of C or better will be recognized towards relevant programs of study at Bethany.

Our faculty, coaches, and staff are here to assist Penn State University students and their families as they embark on this new educational journey. If you have questions or need more information, please contact Vice President for Enrollment & Athletics Brian Sansom at enrollment@bethanywv.edu or 304.829.7611.

We understand the challenges you may be facing, and we are committed to supporting you during this transition. We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you to the Bethany family.

Sincerely,

Jamie Caridi, Ph.D.
President of Bethany College
