BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College is introducing the Good Neighbor financial aid award for incoming students who reside in one of 28 select counties in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

“Bethany College is excited to provide opportunities for the wonderful and talented students in the tri-state area, here in our neighborhood,” said Karen Hunt, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “This award is an added incentive for students considering attending college close to home. There is still time to enroll for the fall semester.”

The award, available beginning in fall 2021, amounts to $2,000 annually, or $8,000 for up to four years of study. The funds can be combined with other scholarships and grants.

Fall classes begin Aug. 23.

Eligible counties are Ohio, Marshall, Jefferson, Hancock, and Brooke in West Virginia, and Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, Beaver, Butler, and Armstrong in Pennsylvania. Students who live in Belmont, Columbiana, Trumbull, Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Tuscarawas, Portage, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Geauga, Ashtabula, Lake, Jefferson, or Washington counties in Ohio are also eligible.

Students must complete the FAFSA and add the Bethany College school code, 003808, to their application to qualify for the award.
