BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College has announced the hiring of Laura Rauch as the college’s director of annual giving.

Rauch is returning to Bethany after two years as the director of development for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Pittsburgh. She previously spent two years as Bethany’s major gifts officer.

“This is home to me,” Rauch said of her decision to return. “I am looking forward to renewing friendships with Bethany alumni.”

In her new role, Rauch will oversee the college’s annual fund and coordinate communication to alumni and donors.

“We are so excited to have Laura back at Bethany College,” said Chris Lambert, vice president of alumni and advancement. “Her knowledge of philanthropy coupled with her familiarity with the college allows her to quickly provide a pathway for alumni to connect and engage with their alma mater.”

Rauch, who grew up in Weirton, W.Va., studied nonprofit management at the State University of New York-Purchase College. She is certified in capital campaigns and nonprofit board and volunteer development, and was selected to Leadership Weirton’s 2015-2016 class.

She lives in Wintersville, Ohio, with her husband, Chris, and her three sons, Cameron, Brayden, and Peyton.
