Old Main Shines Blue in Honor of Essential Workers
BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College’s historic Old Main is shining blue in honor of all health care workers, first responders, and all other essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the #LightItBlue campaign.
Blue film was used to mask the existing lighting. The lights are turned on about 7 p.m.
Old Main was built between 1858 and 1871 and its Gothic Revival architecture is the focal point of Bethany’s campus. The structure was declared a national historic landmark in 1990.
