BETHANY, W.Va. — In following state and federal guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, Bethany College has canceled its annual Oreon E. Scott Lecture Series scheduled for April 20.
Since its founding in 1840 by Alexander Campbell, Bethany has been affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Scott Lectures began in 1956 as a way to strengthen church leaders.
The series is expected to return next spring.
