At Bethany, you will study the systems that power modern computing, including software development, artificial intelligence, networks, and data systems, while also developing expertise in protecting and securing digital environments.

You will build a strong foundation in both theory and application, preparing to design, develop, and defend technology across industries.

Core Computer Science Study

  • Explore programming languages, software engineering, and computer systems
  • Study artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, databases, and networks
  • Learn computational theory, numerical analysis, and system design
  • Build projects that connect theory to real application

Applied Learning & Projects

  • Develop software and systems through guided coursework and independent projects
  • Apply computing concepts to real-world problems in software, data, and system design
  • Work closely with faculty on problem-solving and technical development

Internships & Professional Experience

  • Pursue internships across technology, software, and information systems fields
  • Gain experience in development, IT systems, and computing environments
  • Past opportunities include organizations such as the FBI Honors Internship Program, PNC Financial Services, WesBanco, and others

Cybersecurity & Digital Defense

  • Study secure networks, system vulnerabilities, and digital defense strategies
  • Learn to design, implement, and manage secure systems and infrastructure
  • Engage with real-world case studies, internships, and research projects
  • Work with industry-aligned tools and certifications including Cisco, EC-Council, and (ISC)²
  • Access CompTIA Academy Partner resources and EC-Council academic support, including discounted certification exams
  • Develop applied skills in threat analysis and system protection
