BETHANY, W.Va. (June 16, 2025) — Bethany College is pleased to announce that Deno P. Emili, JD, Class of 1978, has transitioned from his position as director of alumni engagement and planned giving to take on an expanded leadership role as executive director of major gift solicitation and planned giving. In conjunction, Jason Koegler has been appointed as the new associate vice president of alumni engagement and advancement, becoming the primary contact for alumni affairs.
In his enhanced capacity, Emili will take on responsibility for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors. His role will focus on building strategic donor relationships, developing effective solicitation plans, and ensuring each donor feels valued and acknowledged.
“I look forward to continuing to serve Bethany College and my fellow alumni in an expanded role at this critical time in our history,” says Emili. “I’m excited to build on the momentum of our recently concluded, highly successful Build for a Lifetime capital campaign.”
Meanwhile, Koegler is stepping in as the principal alumni engagement leader. Appointed in early May as associate vice president of alumni engagement and advancement, Koegler brings over 15 years of experience in external affairs, fundraising, and community engagement to the role. In this capacity, he will lead alumni relations, event programming, and outreach—serving as the key liaison for Bethany’s alumni community. Read more.
