BETHANY, W.Va. — Bethany College President Dr. Jamie Caridi has announced strategic leadership transitions designed to strengthen student success, enhance operational effectiveness, and advance institutional goals.

Sherinian brings more than a decade of leadership in financial aid operations, Title IV compliance, and enrollment management. She has held senior roles at Northern Arizona University and Ellucian, where she advised colleges on integrating technology and improving operational efficiency. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran and current doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Arizona, Sherinian is a mission-driven leader known for innovation, accountability, and measurable results.
“Sarah’s depth of experience in financial aid, operational leadership, and student success makes her uniquely qualified to lead this critical area of the College,” Caridi said. “Sarah’s leadership and focus on student success will help ensure that every student at Bethany has the support they need to succeed.”
“I’m honored to join Bethany College and contribute to a community dedicated to student success, equity, and excellence,” Sherinian said. “Together, we’ll expand access to transformative learning experiences that empower every student to achieve their goals and make a lasting impact in their communities.”

“I’m excited to help our students and families navigate all of their financial aid options! My goal is to set clear expectations about financial responsibilities and ensure every student is prepared for success before Day One at Bethany College,” Dryer said. “With my experience in financial aid and student accounts, I am committed to providing exceptional service and guidance in all areas of student finance. I am here to help!”
This transition follows the departure of Jill Bittel, who served faithfully as director of financial aid. Bethany College extends its gratitude for her years of dedicated service and wishes her the very best in her next chapter.
“By aligning these leadership roles with our institutional priorities, we are creating a stronger foundation for student success and operational excellence,” Caridi said. “Sarah’s vision and experience, combined with Missy’s expertise and commitment, will ensure that our students continue to thrive and that our systems support their growth effectively.”
