BETHANY, W.Va. (July 1, 2026) — Bethany College proudly congratulates Elizabeth Romanek, assistant director of admissions and recruitment events and a current student in Bethany Online’s MBA program, on being crowned Miss West Virginia, a prestigious honor recognizing excellence in leadership, service, scholarship, and personal achievement.
Romanek’s selection as Miss West Virginia reflects her dedication to serving others and creating meaningful impact throughout the state. Through her M.O.V.E. initiative, she has championed physical activity, wellness and healthy lifestyles, encouraging individuals and communities across West Virginia to prioritize movement as a pathway to improved health and well-being. Her commitment to service and advocacy has made a meaningful impact across the Mountain State.

As Miss West Virginia, Romanek will serve as an ambassador for the state, participating in community events, advancing her M.O.V.E. initiative, and representing West Virginia at the Miss America competition.
“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to be Miss West Virginia 2026,” said Romanek. “I am excited to serve the Mountain State for the next year. I’m thankful to the Bethany College community for their continued support throughout this journey.”
