Bethany College Homecoming 2025: A Weekend of Tradition, Celebration, and Community Spirit

BETHANY, W.Va. (Sept. 30, 2025) — Bethany College welcomed alumni, students, families, and friends back to campus for its BC Pride 2025 Homecoming celebration, a weekend filled with tradition, reunions, and spirited events that showcased the strength of the Bethany community.

The festivities began Friday with the annual Golf Scramble, and on campus, the art show and reunion class receptions for the classes of 1975 and 1985. Followed by the Homecoming Celebration, where alumni and friends enjoyed music, food, and fellowship while honoring this year’s Alumni Award recipients, Bethanians closed the night with a lively pep rally bonfire at the Sigma Nu House.

Saturday brought beautiful fall weather and a full schedule of events. The Town Hall, led by Bethany President Dr. Jamie Caridi and Board of Trustees Chairman Ken Bado ’77, provided an opportunity to reflect on the College’s progress and look ahead to the future. The annual Grimes Lecture Series led by Bob Orr ‘75 highlighted how Orr’s time at Bethany prepared him for a lifelong career as a News Correspondent for CBS News. Reunion classes reconnected throughout the day, and alumni gathered for the tailgate before the Bison football game against Case Western Reserve University at Don Ault Field.

During halftime of the football game, the Bethany community celebrated one of its most cherished traditions: the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen. Congratulations to Lauren Cooper, Homecoming Queen, and Cody Davis, Homecoming King, who were selected by student vote and recognized in front of an enthusiastic crowd of students, alumni, and fans.

In addition to the excitement of the football game and festivities, Bethany marked several milestones, including class reunion achievements and updates on key campus initiatives. The Homecoming football matchup energized the stands with Bison pride, while post-game gatherings carried the celebration into the evening with music, food, and camaraderie at the 5th Quarter and Open Mic events.

On Sunday, alumni gathered at Oglebay Resort for the annual Scroll Breakfast, where members of the Class of 1975 were welcomed into the Scroll Society. This tradition honors Bethanians who have reached this significant milestone and continue to strengthen ties across generations of alumni.

BC Pride 2025 Homecoming proved to be a memorable weekend, filled with connection, tradition, and pride in the Bison spirit. Bethany College looks forward to building on this momentum and celebrating with alumni, students, and friends in years to come. Mark your calendars now for the 2026 Bethany Homecoming from Sept. 18 to 20!
