BETHANY, W.Va. (June 13, 2025) — As cyberattacks continue to escalate across industries, Bethany College is stepping up to meet the demand for highly trained cybersecurity professionals. The College announces the launch of its new Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) Certification Program—an intensive, five-week online course designed to prepare students and professionals for high-impact careers in digital forensics and incident response.
Offered through Bethany Online in partnership with EC-Council, the CHFI course equips learners with globally recognized skills in investigating cybercrimes, analyzing digital evidence, and preventing future attacks. The first session runs from July 1 to Aug. 1, 2025, and is open for enrollment now.
“Bethany College has been a trusted educational leader for over 185 years,” says Bethany President Dr. Jamie Caridi. “We are proud to combine that legacy with cutting-edge cybersecurity training to help our graduates make an immediate impact in today’s digital landscape.”
Program Highlights:
- 100% Online, 5-Week Format: Designed for working professionals and students alike, requiring just eight hours per week of self-paced learning
- Hands-On Training: Students gain practical experience with forensic tools and techniques used in law enforcement, corporate security, and legal investigations.
- Advanced Topics: Includes cloud, IoT, mobile, and dark web forensics, as well as legal procedures for handling digital evidence.
- Globally Recognized Certification: Prepares students to pass the EC-Council CHFI exam (312-49), a respected credential recognized worldwide.
- Diverse Career Pathways: Graduates will be prepared for roles such as cybercrime investigator, digital forensic analyst, incident responder, forensic consultant, and cybersecurity trainer.
The CHFI course is ideal for those launching new careers in cybersecurity or advancing their expertise in IT, criminal justice, or digital law. According to industry data, CHFI-certified professionals typically earn between $85,000 and $120,000 annually—with many earning up to 25% more than their non-certified peers.
“Cybercrime is growing more frequent, sophisticated, and costly. There are currently more than 600,000 unfilled cybersecurity positions in the U.S. alone,” says Dr. Danny Moore, vice president of academic affairs at Bethany College. “Our new CHFI course provides an accelerated, flexible path for learners to enter this critical field and help organizations defend their most sensitive data.”
