BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College has announced that its test-optional admissions policy will become permanent.
“Bethany has led the way in helping students who either did not have access to the ACT/SAT during the pandemic or may have been disadvantaged by the testing process,” said Karen Hunt, vice president for enrollment and marketing.
The test-optional policy was adopted in 2020 during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was to streamline Bethany’s application process and to eliminate the effects of ACT and SAT cancellations across the country.
By continuing the test-optional approach, Bethany acknowledges that standardized tests are not the only predictor of a student’s college success.
