Gratitude and Growth: Reflecting on My Journey at Bethany College

Dear Bethany College Alumni,

As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in my life, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey over the last four years at Bethany College that led me to this moment. With profound gratitude, I want to thank you for your charitable support, which enabled me to have such an amazing experience at Bethany. Your contributions provided me with invaluable opportunities for personal and academic growth and created a vibrant and nurturing campus community that I was proud to be a part of.

Reflecting on my senior year, I am filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. It was a year marked by significant milestones and unforgettable memories. Winning the volleyball PAC championship for the second year in a row was an indescribable feeling that I will carry with me forever. Similarly, Phi Mu winning the Anna Ruth Borne Scholarship for the eighth consecutive semester reaffirmed the incredible sense of camaraderie and dedication within our sisterhood.

Passing my comprehensive exams and preparing for them again challenged me in ways I never imagined, but it ultimately strengthened my resolve and deepened my commitment to my academic pursuits. Receiving the Scarlett Foster Award at the Women and Leadership Symposium was a humbling experience, reminding me of the importance of empowering and uplifting women. Presenting my senior project at the Honors Day Symposium after receiving departmental awards at convocation was a culmination of four years of hard work and dedication. These experiences not only shaped my academic journey but also instilled in me a deep sense of pride in my accomplishments. Beyond the academic achievements, the bonds I have forged with my classmates are ones that will last long after graduation.

Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement and readiness to pursue my Masters in Social Work at a top-ranked graduate program. I am eager to utilize the education and experiences I’ve gained at Bethany College to fuel my success in the future, a future that your support has made possible.
