BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 2, 2025) – Bethany College welcomed back alumna Olivia Zinn ’24 as part of its Communications & Media Arts Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony, recognizing her as a rising professional in broadcast journalism and celebrating her contributions to the field.

Her professional career began early, when she joined WTOV9 as a temporary reporter in November 2022 during her junior year. After graduation, she signed on full-time and quickly rose through the newsroom. Today, Zinn serves as the morning co-anchor for “News9 Sunrise” on NBC and FOX, where she helps lead the station’s four-hour daily broadcast. Beyond the anchor desk, she continues reporting in the field, producing multiple stories a day with experience spanning breaking news, elections, and human-interest features.
Among her most impactful works was her coverage of the devastating June 2025 Ohio County floods, which claimed nine lives and destroyed countless homes. Her reporting gained national attention, airing on CNN, FOX News, and The National Weather Desk. She also provided extensive live coverage of Wheeling’s encampment ban, capturing the voices and concerns of affected residents as the policy went into effect.
Her recognition stood out as one of the highlights of BC Pride Homecoming Weekend, which brought together alumni, students, families, and friends to celebrate Bethany pride.
