Thomas Stein, Ph.D.
Interim Vice President of Enrollment
Dr. Thomas H. Stein joined Bethany College as interim vice president of enrollment in October 2021.
Dr. Stein brings more than 40 years of proven leadership in higher education in numerous administrative areas, including enrollment management, marketing and student services.
He most recently served as vice president for enrollment and marketing at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. He previously held similar roles at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., and Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.
His career also includes time at Bethany, where he was dean of admission (1987-1992) and director of admission (1984-1987).
Dr. Stein has a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo; a Master of Science in Secondary Education Administration from the University of Dayton; and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Ohio Northern University.
Laura Doty, Ph.D.
Executive Director of Enrollment and Financial Services
Laura Doty joined the Bethany College center for enrollment in August of 2018. Her previous experience includes not only college marketing, branding, recruitment, and student services, but also trust and investment services as well as teaching.
Laura received a B.S. in finance and marketing from Ohio University, an MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University, and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio University. She has a passion for the study and practice of both marketing and enrollment management, which is reflected in her dissertation titled: A Study of Enrollment Management Structures and Activities at Community Colleges in Ohio.
Laura is a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Ohio, where she lives with her family. In her down time, she enjoys baking and attending her children’s many academic and sporting activities.
Associate Director of Enrollment Management
Dan Adams joined Bethany College in March 2019. Prior to his employment at Bethany, he has 20 years of experience in higher education as a Director of Admissions and Readmissions. He is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Management.
Dan resides in California, Pa., with his wife, Lisa and two children, Alex and Elise. He enjoys family time especially at baseball and soccer games, marching band trips, and high school musicals.
He is also an active member at the United Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in California, Pa., where he is the Moderator.
Kristen Gallik, MBA
Kristen Gallik joined Bethany College in December 2021 with five years of experience in higher education working as a network analyst and assistant cross country coach for Waynesburg University.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from Waynesburg in 2015 and a MBA in Applied Business in 2019.
Kristen resides in Valley Grove, WV, with her husband, Ethan, and daughter, Melody (June 2022). She enjoys outdoor activities, running, gardening, and spending time with family.
Joel Jarrett, M.A. Ed
Joel joined Bethany College in July 2021. He has been working in higher education since 2018 and was a Graduate Assistant at West Liberty University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2018 from West Liberty University in Leadership and Coaching Education. He then received his Master of Arts in Education degree in 2020 from West Liberty University in Organizational Leadership, specializing in Athletics.
Joel is a native of Wheeling, WV, where he graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He currently resides in Wheeling, WV, and enjoys sports, running and spending time with family!
Justin T. Miller
Enrollment Database Manager
Justin Miller is a 2010 graduate of Bethany College. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Work. Justin has worked with the college since summer 2010 in both Enrollment and Financial Aid.
Justin resides in West Liberty, W Va.
Evan Oslund, M.A.
Adjunct Professor of Theater
Evan may be the newest addition to the enrollment staff, but he is no stranger to Bethany College.
Evan is a Bethany alumnus, Class of 2011, holding his B.A. in Theatre (Acting), and also serves as Artistic Director of Bethany College Theatre and is the Adjunct Professor of Theatre here at the College.
Evan received his M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University in 2019 and has worked in higher education since 2019 in residence life and arts administration.
Outside of Bethany, Evan is a working actor and musician, enjoys playing golf and tennis, and is an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh sports fan (yes, even the Pirates).
Evan resides in Wheeling, WV, with his three fur children: Sneaker, Panther, and Tito.
