BETHANY, W.Va. — Bethany College has announced that Bethany College Soccer Camps (BCSC), owned and operated by Bethany College, will premiere on the Bethany campus in July of 2007.

The youth camp will run July 8 -12, with two age groups, 6 - 9 and 10 - 13, high school girls, can attend the July 15 – 19, session with high school boys week running July 22 -26.

“We are excited for the opportunity to enhance youth soccer in the tri-state region. This camp will be geared towards providing a fun learning environment, improving the ability of youth players in preparation for high school and challenging advanced players to build their skill levels,” said Kosmas Mouratidis, BCSC Director and Bethany College Head Men’s Soccer Coach.

Training sessions, practice matches and player evaluations will be held daily, focusing on improving skill levels. The daily and nightly training sessions will be run by Bethany College players, including members of the men’s 2006 NCAA Tournament participant team, along with professional and college level coaches.

Teams and individuals can attend, with rates available for teams and multiple family members. Campers have the option of staying in residential housing on the College campus or commuting from home. Campers that choose to reside on site will stay in air-conditioned dormitories and be provided meals in the dining hall. Other activities will be provided for campers outside of soccer including: swimming, basketball, tennis, and other entertainment, campus facilities will also be open for campers.

"This will be the first year the college has run its own soccer camps, previously camps have been privately owned. We plan on developing additional quality academic and athletic camps in the future,” stated William Kiefer, Chief Financial Officer and College Treasurer.

Bethany College is located in the panhandle of West Virginia, and is located one-hour from downtown Pittsburgh, 40 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport and Washington, Pa and 30 minutes from Wheeling WV.
