June 29 - WEXFORD, Pa. - A total of 22 Bethany College student-athletes were honored recently when the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) released the Spring 2009 PAC Academic Honor Roll.

A total of 300 student-athletes from league schools were named to the honor roll, which recognizes those on winter and spring varsity athletic teams who earned a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the semester of their competition.
Of the 22 Bison honorees, 15 of those earned a GPA higher than 3.8, including three with perfect a 4.0. Bethany’s women’s programs contributed 64 percent of the members on the list, including women’s basketball, women’s swimming and diving and women’s track and field with four each.

The top school in the PAC was Westminster with 40 student-athletes earning PAC Academic Honor Roll recognition. Next up was Grove City (39), Washington & Jefferson (39), Waynesburg (35), Saint Vincent (32), Thiel (27), Geneva (24), Bethany (22), Thomas More (22) and Chatham (19).
