Barry J. Roffer
Class of 1969
A two-time state champion in the 100-yard breaststroke at Lincoln High School (N.Y.), Barry J. Roffer was captain of the 1969 Bison swim team and earned All-Conference honors all four years he competed, as well as being named an All-America NAIA swimmer in those four years.
Away from the pool, Roffer was affiliated with Sigma Nu Fraternity.
After graduating from Bethany in 1969 with a major in physical eduation and a minor in psychology, Roffer went on to become a health trainer at Riverhead Middle School, a swim coach, and the Metropolitan Swimming office manager.
Roffer and his wife, Janet, reside in Farmingville, N.Y. They have two children, Bradley and Stacey.
