Theresa Swinehart Maguire
Class of 1982
Theresa Swinehart Maguire, a resident of Vacaville, Calif., earned All-Conference honors in softball and basketball and was the first female in Bethany history to score 1,000 points (currently 13th with 1,116 career points) during her basketball career for the Bison. In addition to being the Bison leading scorer and team captain, she earned honors in rebounding, free throws, and assists.
Off the court, Maguire was the independent manager of Goodnight and a Kalon Scholar, also receiving honors in Spanish.
After graduating cum laude in 1982, Maguire went on become an Air Force Aircrew Life Support Specialist. She is currently an elementary physical education teacher and Junior Varsity basketball coach.
Maguire and her husband, Gary, have two children, Tescily and Kelani.
