Bethany Runners Finish Season at NCAA Regionals

Nov. 10 -CARLISLE, Pa. –The Bethany College cross country teams completed their 2012 seasons Saturday by running at the NCAA MidEast Regional, which was hosted by Dickinson (Pa.) College.

The Bison women finished in 42nd place out of 49 teams, while Bethany’s men were 45th out of 49 teams. Overall team champions on Saturday were Johns Hopkins for the women and Haverford for the men.

2304Bosworth12.jpg Leading the BC women at regionals was freshman Brooke Bosworth (right - St. Clairsville, Ohio). She finished in 171st place out of 346 runners with a time of 26:16.9. Not far behind her was sophomore Jessica Olson (Moon, Pa.) in 193rd place after crossing in 26:39.6.

In the men’s side, freshman Ryan Donnelly (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) held the top spot for his team. He was 177th in a field of 343 competitors, as he finished in 28:48.3. Next to come across for Bethany was sophomore Cody McDonald (Martinsburg, W.Va./Mussleman), who’s time of 29:12.9 brought him across the finish line in 203rd place.
