Sept. 1 – NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Bethany College cross country teams competed at the Muskingum Relays on Tuesday afternoon. The men and women both placed second in the relay.
For the women, the top duo was Brooke Bosworth (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) and Michaela Ross (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) who finished third overall with a time of 36:01. The pair of Kelsea Martz (Hedgesville, W. Va./Hedgesville) and Biz Timas (Middlefield, Ohio/Cardinal) also had a solid effort, placing sixth overall at 37:21. The women’s team earned second in the relay with 17 overall points.
On the men’s side, the duo of Ryan Donnelly (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) and Donnie Bierhals (Cabot, Pa./Knoch) finished second overall with a time of 54:40. Lucas Liriano (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) and Austin Davis (Honolulu, Hawaii/Moanalua) also grabbed a spot in the top five at 57:16, while George Hypolite (St. John’s, Antigua/Antigua Grammar) and Marshall Murray (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) placed right behind them at 57:24.
The teams will be back in action on Saturday, September 5th, when they travel to Edinboro University for the Doug Watts Invitational.
