Sept. 9 - BETHANY, W.Va. – Due to flooding and a mandatory evacuation in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where King’s College is located, Saturday’s football game between Bethany College and King’s has been postponed.

The game could possibly be made up following the teams’ currently scheduled regular season finales. However, the game would only be played on Nov. 19 at Bison Stadium if neither Bethany nor King’s qualified for the postseason.

“We’re definitely disappointed that we don’t get to play this weekend,” said Bethany head coach Tim Weaver. “Football games are more difficult to reschedule than other sports, and we put a great deal of work and preparation into this game. We wish everyone in the King’s College community and the entire area affected by the flooding the best during this difficult period. We look forward to a chance to make up the game at a later time if that’s possible. We’ll turn our attention to the PAC schedule now and focus on our ultimate goal of winning a conference championship.”

The Bison, who are 1-0 following last week’s 28-7 victory at Allegheny, will return to action next Saturday night when they host Washington & Jefferson in the opening PAC contest of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
