Bethany Track Competes at Jesse Owens Invitational

April 23 – COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Bethany College track & field team sent a few select athletes to the Jesse Owens Invitational hosted by The Ohio State University on Saturday afternoon. The Bison competed in the 4x100 relay as well as the 200-meter dash.

The 4x100 meter-relay team of Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local), Umar Moore (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon), Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) and Byron Mayers (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) competed on the day, posting an eighth-place finish with a time of 42.80.

Individually, Butler ran in the in the 400-meter run, tallying a 27th-place mark with a time of 51.64. Moore also competed individually, participating in the long jump during the course of the day.

The Bison track & field teams will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 as they host the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships at Bison Stadium.
