March 28 - GREENSVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference has announced that Bethany College outdoor track standout Kyle Minger (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local) has earned PAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat Kickoff Classic this past week.
Minger helped lead the Bethany track & field men's team to a second-place finish at their meet on March 25. The senior was part of three victories for the Bison, including setting the 200m school record with a final time of 21.98. Minger broke his previous mark of 22.05 from the 2015 season.
Minger was also part of two relay teams that placed first overall. He posted victories in both the 4X100 and 4X400-meter relays with times of 42.21 and 3:26.17, respectively. Both times secured the relay teams a qualification for the Eastern Conference Athletic Conference Division III Championships.
To go along with the three wins, Minger also earned a third-place finish in the high jump (5-8.75).
The Bethany College track & field teams will return to action on Saturday, April 2 when they host the Bethany Invitational, which is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
