Oct. 8 - PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Senior Lauren Spegal (Bethel Park, Pa.) recorded 21 kills to lead the Bethany College volleyball team (6-14, 2-6) to a 3-0 (30-18, 30-15, 30-22) triumph at Chatham (Pa.) University Monday night.

Spegal now has 1,165 kills for her career, as she continues to close in on the all-time record at Bethany of 1,197, held by Kelly Sitko. In addition, Spegal notched four aces in Monday's win, which gives her 123 for her career and ties Shae Baxter for seventh place all-time at BC.

Other big hitters for the Bison Monday included junior Sumer Scott (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) with seven kills and junior Mandy Kaufman (Glen Dale, W.Va./John Marshall) with five. Junior setter Kim McKay (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) passed out 34 assists, while BC's defensive efforts were spearheaded by sophomore Rachael Dunham (Gans, Pa./Albert Gallatin) with 19 digs.

The Bison will hit the court again Wednesday night when they play at Westminster (Pa.) College at 7 p.m.
