Bethany College has a certified International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Issuing Office and International Teacher/Professor Identity Card (IT/PIC) Issuing Office located in Student Services, Bethany House.

What are the International Student ID Card and the International Teacher ID Card?
Student leaders in the post-WWII era believed strongly that international travel and educational exchange opportunities for students would promote international understanding. In the 1950s, the idea of a single internationally recognized student identity document originated to facilitate this vision. By the late 1960s, the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) (also International Teacher Identity Card – ITIC) was a reality, offering:

  • Comprehensive Travel Medical Insurance
  • 24-Hour Emergency Help Line (phone # is on the back of your card)
  • Optional calling cards, cell phones and SIM cards
  • Access to 32,000 discounts around the world

International Recognition
The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) endorses the ISIC and recognizes it as the unique document for student travel and cultural exchange, as well as the only internationally recognized proof of student status that exists. The ISIC is carried by nearly 5 million students, teachers and youth worldwide every year.
