BETHANY, W.Va. — Bethany College Associate Professor of English Dr. Jessie Janeshek will read from her upcoming poetry collection as part of a benefit for the Sirius Animal Shelter in Ukraine and its staff.

“One Release, One Prerelease and Two Chapbooks: A Poetry Reading for Ukraine” is set for 8 p.m. April 1 via Zoom.
Janeshek will read from “No Place for Dames,” her fourth full-length poetry book. Grey Book Press will publish “No Place for Dames” later this spring. She also wrote “MADCAP” (Stalking Horse Press, 2019), “The Shaky Phase” (Stalking Horse Press, 2017) and “Invisible Mink (Iris Press, 2010).

Nate Logan, author of “Inside the Golden Days of Missing You” (Magic Helicopter Press, 2019), and Courtney Marie, author of the chapbook “don’t get your hopes up” (Thoughtcrime Press), will join Janeshek in the benefit.

Sirius Shelter is the largest animal shelter in Ukraine, housing 3,300 dogs and cats.
