Travis Straub

Associate Professor of English

Morlan Hall, 232

Travis Straub teaches writing courses at Bethany, including composition, business and professional writing, environmental writing, and creative writing.

He is co-advisor to the Writers Club and advisor to the Comedy Club.

Straub also teaches in the Bethany First-Year Experience program and formerly served as its director.

As a military brat, Travis’s family moved frequently. One of their first stops in each new town was the local public library, which allowed Travis to grow up reading broadly and writing short fiction and poetry.

Travis plays a few instruments and has been in several bands.
He lives in Bethany with many cats.

Travis often plays benefit concerts to raise money for charities in Morgantown and Pittsburgh.
