[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]BETHANY, WV – Five alumni from the fields of communications, broadcast, TV production, journalism, and public relations were added to the Bethany College Communications and Media Arts Wall of Fame on Sept. 28.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Before Raytheon, she consulted with the company as a communications director and acted as marketing director for General Growth. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., Booth graduated from Bethany College with a BA in Communications.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
His passion and love for broadcast journalism developed at Bethany College, where he was an anchor, reporter, producer, and photographer for the station.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Prior, Hoop worked for Hill & Knowlton/Boston as Vice President and started his career in daily journalism.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Lohmann was a member of the NCAA national championship soccer team at Bethany College and went on to receive his MS in Sports Management from West Virginia University.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Simultaneously, McDonnell served as Editor of Fangoria, Comics Scene, Fantasy Worlds, Action Heroes, and other sister publications. He also edited numerous licensed magazines and appeared as a guest speaker at over 200 pop culture conventions.
McDonnell earned a Golden Mike Award at Bethany’s college radio station, WVBC. After graduating from Bethany, he attended Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications where he earned an MA in advertising.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Bethany’s Communications and Media Arts Wall of Fame was established in October 2010 to honor distinguished communications graduates. It includes 38 acclaimed graduates, including current national sportscaster Dave Sims and prior news anchors, Toria Talley, of CNN, and Faith Daniels, of CBS Morning News.
Bethany’s Department of Communications and Media Arts has had a storied reputation of producing graduates of national and international significance.
