Occasion Embodies Bethany’s Institutional Commitment to Appreciation of Knowledge
BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College will highlight student achievement with its second annual Scholarship Symposium on Thursday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Over 100 Bethany students, representing various departments, will showcase research, creative endeavors, and class projects generated over the academic year.
This includes oral presentations, poster sessions, prose and poetry readings, art exhibitions, and theatrical and musical performances.
“We are so proud to host the second annual Bethany Symposium of Scholarship,” said Dr. Joe Lane, Provost and Dean of Faculty. “The research and creative works that Bethany’s undergraduates produce are truly remarkable and speak to the competence and confidence they gain from our liberal arts approach to education.
“We are particularly excited to see almost 20% of Bethany’s students sharing their work, and we hope that our alumni and members of the community will come to campus to see what they have accomplished.”
The day will conclude with an Honors Convocation highlighting individuals who have received awards and become members of recognition societies.
