BETHANY, W.Va. – Oglebay Institute’s Towngate Theatre will present “The Book of Will” on Sunday, April 3, at Bethany College’s Wailes Theatre in Steinman Hall.

Curtain is at 2 p.m. Admission is by donation, and concession sales will benefit the Bethany chapter of Alpha Psi Omega theatre honor society.

Written by Lauren Gunderson, “The Book of Will” is based on a true story.

After the death of William Shakespeare, actors Henry Condell and John Heminges are determined to compile and preserve The Bard’s works forever.

Though the play deals with the death of a beloved mentor, “The Book of Will” finds plenty of humor in the pair’s escapades as they borrow, beg and band together to preserve “Romeo and Juliet,” “Hamlet,” Much Ado About Nothing” and other treasured masterpieces.

The production stars Vince Marshall as Condell and Jamie Hamilton as Heminges.

The encore performance is part of a recent partnership between Bethany College and the Towngate Theatre.
