BETHANY, W.Va. — Local country music sensations the PovertyNeck Hillbillies will be performing at Bethany College on Thursday, October 19. The performance will take place at 7:00 p.m. in Renner Too and is open to Bethany students, faculty, staff, and community.

Recently signed to Rust Records, the PovertyNeck Hillbillies will be returning to the college after a whirlwind year of national touring and radio promotional shows.

The band recently debuted their video for “Mr. Right Now.” The video, featuring Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, continues to receive national airplay, spending three weeks at number two on GAC TV’s top 20 count-down.

“The band performed at Bethany on a Monday night last November and were extremely well received, we wanted to bring them back this year on a better date,” said Sam Vuchenich, President of the Student Activities Council at Bethany. “It’s been fantastic working with them again.”

Brian Fernandes, Director of Student Activities and Greek Life, added, “We like to support local acts, especially acts of PovertyNeck’s caliber. We’re really excited for all of their success and their recent record deal. We’ve really been looking forward to their return to Bethany.”

Most recently, the band performed a string of promotional radio shows and is currently touring the country.
